I want to talk about trusting the timing of your life.
When was the last time you trusted the timing of your life? It’s such a cliche saying, I know.
I read this phrase somewhere in the depths on the Internet a while ago and it has stuck with me ever since. We can only control so many things in our lives.
Timing isn’t one of those things, unfortunately.
What does it mean to trust the timing of your life?
The meaning behind the saying doesn’t mean to just sit idle and wait for something to happen. Obviously, if you sit around doing nothing, what’s going to happen?
Nothing.
Trust that every decision you make, every action you take, everything you say, will either propel you forward, teach you a lesson, or shift you in a different direction than you had originally planned.
It simply means to trust the flow of your life.
So today, I want to share with you some reasons as to why you should trust the timing of your life.

Trust the Timing of Your Life
Don’t compare your timing to others.
The comparison game is a dangerous game to play. Trust me, I know.
Don’t compare your life to others who have achieved more than you because that is not healthy for your mental health.
You may see other people move forward much quicker than you. You may also feel like you’re stuck in a deep hole and can’t seem to get out.
That was my mentality when I was fresh out of high school. I always thought this person has a job so I need to have a job, or I need to start college now because so and so started college already.
I was afraid of falling behind and I felt that I HAD to keep up with everyone else around me.
One thing you need to remember is that that’s their life, NOT YOURS.
Maybe you’re not meant to go at a fast pace, probably slow and steady is the way to go.
Whatever the reason may be, you have to trust the timing of your life because everything that you do and everything that happens to you, happens for a reason.
You may not know what the reason is that is taking so long to move forward but there’s a reason behind all the uncertainty.
Personally, it has taken me a while to realize that and even though I still struggle with comparison, I figured I should invest my energy in something more productive and positive, which is why I started this blog.
Remember that you are uniquely you and no one can be you…but you!
You have your own path to take, so make the most of what you can do right now.
You are unique! With your own personality, quirks, characteristics, that make you uniquely you! You are made with a unique purpose!
I always try to remind myself that I have SO much to be thankful/grateful for – my friends and family who love me unconditionally, I have food and shelter, I’m in good health and so is everyone important in my life, even my babies (my cats lol) are happy and healthy.
Know that your time will come one day, whether it’s achieving getting your dream job, getting into your dream school, getting married, or even buying your first home.
It may feel at times that we don’t feel like we’re succeeding in life if we feel like we haven’t progressed as much as we should but success comes in all shapes and sizes.
It’s all about how we perceive our success and how we decide to move forward.

Be present
Think back to all of the experiences that have shaped you into the person you are today. All of these experiences have led you to this exact moment: the present moment.
Everything you’ve experienced, the challenges that you’ve faced, are all lessons to be learned.
A lot of the time, I tend to focus on what I could have done, thus recreating scenarios that just waste my time and energy because the past already happened. Or I get anxious about the uncertainties of my future, hence shifting all of my energy into the unknown, which is honestly, pointless.
I believe it’s important to show gratitude for the things that we have and for being able to consider these questions of life from time to time when we have our doubts.
Focus on the people and situations that bring you happiness and be open to life’s challenges by taking them as an opportunity to grow and learn.

What has kept you motivated in life?
Until next time,
So true! I have a hard time reminding myself that my life is my own, and I should not compare it to everyone else I see. It’s hard sometimes, especially when you’re working hard to accomplish something that many people already have. I live my life though by the motto – everything happens for a reason – and it seems to soothe my soul. Happy New Year! I hope 2018 is a great one for you!
OMG I’m over here nodding my head so much my heads gonna fall off from how much I resonate with your comment lol. It’s true, it’s hard not to compare but we all have our own paths to take and everything happens for a reason. You’ll get there 🙂 *psst this is secretly my favorite comment ever* Happy New Year!
I agree, timing is everything! We often have to be patient to see how things will play out and prepare ourselves for whatever the outcome will be.
Yeah, it’s hard to be patient but it’s worth the wait.
I love this so much! It’s so easy to get down on yourself and not trust yourself! I have been less motivated when comparing myself to other bloggers. I have had to realize that everyone is different and everyone has their own audience! Collaboration over competition! such a great post my dear!
I completely agree! Everything happens for a reason is one of my mantras as well.
That’s great!
Congrats on your first blog. And you hit all he right notes inthis featured post. Gods time might not be our time but it’s always the right time.
Thank you! And I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Wow. Great perspective. God’s timing is not our own. We have to keep the faith and weary not. Bless you.
Preach it friend. Preach it. God Bless You 🙂
This was just what i needed to read today! Great post!
That’s great. Thank you 🙂
Great post, definitely need to remember this
Thank you!
I always say whatever will be will be and my mum instilled in us when we were little that whatever is meant for you will not pass you. Great post.
Aww that’s lovely. Thank you! 🙂
Timing is truly everything and its one of the hardest lessons to learn to trust it. Our story was totally NOT our timing, but God knew best and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Amen!
Yessss! Comparison is truly the theif of joy. Luckily I’ve found a solid group of Mama friends who keeps me grounded and reminds me that we’re all a mess at times! <3
We often try so hard to get it all together, and finally give up. Only with the correct time, things will happen. But in the race to achieve everything, we often forget this. Have patience, your efforts will show up. Great article to read. 👍
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Well said, trusting the timing of our lives brings great peace.
I agree
Great first post! We’re all a mess at times and never truly know what someone else is going through to even compare.
I couldn’t agree more
Timing it truly everything! I was basically stuck a home for two months and everyone told me to start my blog then but it didn’t feel right and I was ready to speak about why I couldn’t work. A couple months have passed and my timing was perfect, and I posted my first post! My mindset wasn’t in the right place and timing had everything to do with if my blog would succeed or not. Couldn’t agree more with your post. My motivation now is myself, I want to help others and I’m now comfortable in my own story to share it and help others. Keep rocking girl!
Way to go! So glad you went through it. Thank you
Amen sweet girl and thank you for this beautiful reminder!
xo, Nicole
You’re very welcome 🙂 ❤️
